Ten years ago, the Cantores, a minor noble family from Vodacce, angered their Prince, Giovanni Villanova. Four children and their step-aunt escaped the slaughter, hiding among the Cymbyr nomads of the Vodacce mainland. For those ten years, they waited, hidden. The family does not travel alone, and the fates of the performers and others who have joined with them in the past years have intertwined with those of the surviving Cantore children, forming a pattern who’s final shape has yet to be discerned.
